School Administrators, Staff Members, and Prospective Delegates,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the third iteration of Kamloops Model United Nations (KMUN).
Founded in 2024 by Mirela Cardozo, KMUN was created to provide students with an accessible introduction to Model UN and a space to engage in meaningful diplomatic discussion. As the third Secretary-General of KMUN, I am deeply honored to continue this legacy and to help foster a conference where both new and experienced delegates can thrive.
As Kamloops’ only Model UN conference, KMUN is proud to serve as a gateway to larger conferences such as VMUN, CAIMUN, and CAHSMUN, while also uniting delegates in a shared passion for debate and diplomacy. This year’s committees have been carefully chosen to offer a diverse range of experiences, from deliberating human rights in modern bodies to reenacting historical conflicts. Delegates will have the opportunity to engage in pressing political issues and broaden their understanding of global affairs.
At KMUN, we firmly believe that every student deserves the opportunity to participate in academic discourse. Our team is committed to providing a unique and engaging experience that builds not only knowledge but also friendships and skills that will last long beyond the conference, whether in public speaking, writing, research, or creative problem-solving.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at kamloopsmunofficial@gmail.com. On behalf of myself and the Staff Team, I look forward to welcoming you to KMUN 2026.
Hailey Meredith
Secretary-General
