Recorder Troubleshooting:
The recorder is designed to have left hand on top. The right hand thumb helps balance the recorder.
Cover holes completely with flat finger pads; not fingertips. No leaks/no squeaks.
Blow gently using tonguing (tongue hits roof of mouth). Breathe: tah, too, dah, doo, taka taka.
Keep recorder clean. Cover the window in mouthpiece and blow out any debris. Wash with hot, soapy water.
