Unfortunately, many people are getting sick from a virus right now. At school, one of our jobs is to keep you safe. We have worked really hard to come up with the best plan to keep you safe and to keep you learning. I know this is not how you were hoping school would be. I know I wish it would go back to normal, but I am excited you are here and I will do my best job to make this the best experience for you!
This year, our friends that are Traditional learners will be split into three groups (also known as Cohorts), an A Group, a B Group, and a C Group.
You will come to school during your assigned days with assignments provided and to be worked on during days while not physically in school.
You will have the option to access the curriculum via the internet using Google Classroom.
You will be given a GDOE email.
During Home Learning (Distance Learning), you will complete the assigned activities from the face-to-face instructional day.
Due to Distance Learning, school will look a lot different this year until it is safe to go back to normal. Look at the chart to see what some of the new procedures and requirements are.
All of our friends will have to wear masks and keep them on all day. This helps protect you and your friends from getting sick.
All of our friends will need to try their best to stay in their assigned seat and raise their hand to get up. This helps ensure to ensure the safety of everyone.
All of our friends will need to go to the bathroom as a class. This helps keep everyone in our school safe.
You will have the option to access the curriculum via the internet using Google Classroom. You will be given a GDOE email.
A calendar specifying which days the you will attend will be provided.
On the two days that you are not attending (Distance Learning), you will complete the activities assigned from the face-to-face instructional day and turn in on the next face-to-face instructional day.
Our schedule will look different this year. You will only be coming to school once or twice a week. Look at the calendar and your child’s corresponding cohort days to see which days they will be attending classes.
