Erika S. Cruz, Acting Principal

Mrs. Erika S. Cruz is the acting principal for school year 2025-2026.  She is a product of the Guam Public School System attending C.L. Taitano Elementary School, Agueda I. Johnston Junior High School, and Guam Community College Vocational High School.   She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities from Chaminade University of Honolulu and a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Portland.

Mrs. Cruz has worked for the Department of Education for over 30 years bringing a wealth of experience having worked as a middle school Social Studies and English teacher, assistant principal in the elementary and middle school level, principal in the middle school level, acting principal in the high school level and served as deputy superintendent overseeing 41 schools for 10 years.

Her professional accomplishments include 2012 Guam Alumnus of the Year for the University of Portland, 2017 Alumnus of the Year for the Guam Community College, and 2018 Government of Guam's Magpro award for Manager of the year.

 Mrs. Cruz believes that all students have the potential to succeed while attending JP Torres Success Academy by offering a curriculum tailored specifically to the needs of each student.  She always believes that failure is not an option.  No student will be left behind as long as they are willing to put in the effort to reach their goal.  She looks forward to working with all students with the assistance of the dedicated staff and faculty.
