You may use the library to complete assignments / research / projects.
To check out books and other materials, please be sure to have a library card. You may request for a library card application form from Mrs. Canos.
To use the computers and / or the school network, all students must have a Technology Use Form and an Appropriate Use Policy Signed and on File with the Library.
In order to have a clean, insect free environment, no food, drinks, or snacks are allowed in the library.
Make phone calls outside the library. Ask permission if you plan to use your smart phone for school purposes only.
When in the library, please use indoor voices. No group meetings are to be held behind the bookshelves.
If the library is closed, students must return to their classroom.
Students are encouraged to send their print jobs to: gw2print@gmail.com.
Binding, laminating, die cuts, photocopy, and limited school supplies are available. Check the circulation desk for more information.
All students are encouraged to fill out a library application card form and by signing the card they agree to the following:
Have their photo taken for identification purposes only.
Students with a Library Card may borrow up to three (3) books at a time. Students without a Library Card may borrow only 1 item at a time.
Library Books may be checked out for a period of 10 days. At the the end of the check out period, students may return or renew the book.
GWHS Library does not impose any late fee fines, however, after a period of 1 month the book will be considered lost if it is not returned. For each lost or damaged library material, a replacement cost of the lost / damaged material will be assessed.
Students with overdue books and/or fines will not be able to check out any books until the items are returned or until the obligation is paid for.
Library obligations (ex. fines and/or fees) must be cleared by the end of each school year.
At the end of the school year, any library obligations will be forwarded to the Business Office and additional consequences may be imposed.
Library cards are valid as long as the student is enrolled at GWHS.
Library cards may be replaced for a for a small fee.
We believe that providing internet access for students will enhance their educational experience to resources found online. We ask that ALL students submit an Education Technology Use Policy User Agreement. Please note an Education Technology Use Policy User Agreement must be completed each school year.
