I'm running out of time

I'm running out of time like wells run out of wishes

right before a lonely somebody fishes a coin out of their pocket

I've lost it

like a person looses their humanity 

right before a hopeless nobody begs them for that coin they didn't use

I'm useless to anyone who wants to use me 

I ain't a piece of toilet paper there to clean up the shit you made 

just to be thrown away when you're done with me.

You see the time that I've lost being useless to the world could have been better spent saving it

I'm not some damsel in distress
I'm just stressed about the world and all the labels put on girls

No wait...

I'm not some girl who spins and twirls never knowing which is up and which is down

and always has a frown on her face

If I must be labeled, label me WOMAN.

W... For the Way she stands so tall even with the weight of the world on her shoulders

O... For the Only one strong enough to be who she is

M... For the Motivation to bring a nation to its knees

A... for Always being there to pick up its pieces 

N... for Never letting anyone get in her way or take her down

If I must be labeled, label me woman.

I'll save the world instead of downing it in sorrows and broken tomorrows 

like dreams that never came true 

I choose to be somebody's hero 

and I'll do it in my worn out pair of jeans and favorite wrinkled tee, 

see because I never understood why Wonder Woman 

had to show her underwear to have superpowers

I have all the power that I will ever need because I am a warrior AND a princess

or so my mommy tells me.

but I'm not gonna run around in a 2 inch skirt making you pant every time you see my panties. 

That's not what makes me a woman.

Being a woman means taking a stand for what you believe in

and always believing in yourself even when noone else does

It means changing the world and making a difference 

and the difference in the world today is that 

somebody will read this and say
"Woah man this bitch is going all feminist on us" 

and I'm like... first of all don't call me a bitch. 

and second of all, this WOMAN is going all realist on you

this is the realest that it's ever gonna get and yet 

you still don't see it do you?

I'm not bashing on the gentlemen, God knows I love them

just as much as I love women if you know what I'm saying.

See this isn't a rejection

this is an objection

to the objectification that we all go through.

So please, 

take it like a woman, grow a pair of ovaries, and give birth to a new way of thinking.
