Lecture Title: Targeting  protein-phosphatases with electrophilic phosphonamidic acids

Abstract:

Mildly reactive electrophiles have emerged as powerful functional groups for the development of chemical probes to target pharmacologically important proteins and study key biological mechanisms. In this context, unsaturated phosphonamidic acids are promising cysteine directed warheads to study protein phosphatases. Here, I will introduce our group's effort to develop phosphor-arginine phosphatase selective probes to study this elusive enzyme class.
