The Robertson Scholars Leadership Program

Army ROTC Scholarship – University of North Georgia
The Army ROTC scholarship is open for high school seniors planning to start college in Fall 2026. Selection takes place on three national boards (Oct. 25, Jan. 26, and Mar. 26).
At UNG, one of only six Senior Military Colleges in the U.S., scholarship recipients receive:
Choice of: full tuition & fees or up to $12,000/year for room & board
$420 monthly stipend
$1,200 annual book allowance
Cost of attendance at UNG is about $23,800 the first year and $21,000 in later years. Last year, over 60 seniors earned 3- or 4-year Army ROTC scholarships to join UNG’s Corps of Cadets.
Graduates commission as Second Lieutenants in the U.S. Army.
Park Scholarship- North Carolina State University
The Park Scholarship at NC State University is a prestigious, four-year, merit-based scholarship program that recognizes outstanding high school seniors who demonstrate scholarship, leadership, service, and character. U.S. JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship
The U.S. JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship is a merit-and-need-based award for graduating high school seniors who plan to pursue full-time higher education at a college, university, or vocational school. Awards of $1,500 (or sometimes up to $2,000) to selected high school seniors

Linda Thompson Memorial Scholarship
The Linda Thompson Memorial Scholarship is awarded in honor of Linda Thompson, a prominent figure in the Destination Management / Event industry. Administered by the Association of Destination Management Executives International (ADMEI), this scholarship supports students pursuing education and careers in destination management, hospitality, or event industries.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Oratorical Scholarship Award
The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Oratorical Scholarship, presented by the Ministers’ Conference of High Point & Vicinity, honors Dr. King’s legacy of service, unity, and justice. This award recognizes graduating seniors who demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and a commitment to Dr. King’s principles through written expression.

Open to 2026 graduating high school seniors meeting two of the following: resident of High Point, attend a High Point area school, or active in a member church of the Ministers’ Conference
Requires a 2.75 GPA or higher, community service record, counselor and pastor recommendations, and a 4–7 page essay in APA style on one of two Dr. King–inspired topics

The Herman and Earline Herbin Scholarship applications are due March 2, 2026. Two $1,750 renewable scholarships will be awarded to two Guilford County high school seniors. The scholarship is primarily need based, but academic standing will be a secondary determining factor.
The Jason Christopher James Memorial Scholarship applications are due February 7, 2026. One $7,500 award will be given to a student interested in politics, international relations, traveling, and studying/living abroad.
The John Carlton Myatt Creative Writing Scholarship applications are due March 31, 2026. One $3,000 award will be given to a student who intends to pursue a degree in English, Writing, or Language Arts.
The John R. Kernodle Memorial Teaching Scholarship applications are due March 31, 2026. One renewable $10,000 award will be given to a student who intends to become an educator.
The Kay Hagan Memorial Scholarship applications are due February 1, 2026. This scholarship is intended for a female high school senior with a passion for community and civic leadership. The $1,000 scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years.
The Pauline Cobrda Theatre Scholarship applications are due March 2, 2026. New in 2026, this $2,500 scholarship is intended for students who plan to major in the performing arts, either on stage or back of stage.
The Thomas and Bettie O’Briant Scholarship applications are due March 2, 2026. One $2,500 scholarship will be awarded and is renewable for up to four years. This award is based on need and academic achievement.
The Tyler David Williams Memorial Scholarship applications are due March 2, 2026. One $2,500 scholarship will be awarded based upon academic achievement. While it is considered during the selection process, economic need is not a prerequisite to apply.
The William Bryant Evans and Lucy Teague Evans Memorial Scholarship is intended for students living in the McCleansville area. The $1,000 renewable award is based on need and academic achievement. Applications are due March 2, 2026.
