As the AP and IB Coordinator at Page High School, I bring years of experience in secondary literacy, IB English Literature, and Page High School. I began teaching at Page when I graduated from Appalachian State in 2002 with a double-major in English and Secondary Education. Since then, I have received a Masters in Education from UNCG, a degree in Administration, and a Specialist in Education, both from App State. I have taught IB Courses since 2013 and have served the school as the AP and IB Coordinator since 2020.
My work has always centered on helping students grow into thoughtful, capable learners, which aligns naturally with the IB philosophy of developing curious, reflective, and globally minded young people. I believe the IB Programme prepares students not only for college, but for life, by challenging them to think deeply, communicate effectively, and engage with the world around them. I am truly excited to partner with our incredible students, dedicated teachers, and supportive families as we continue to build a thriving IB community at Page.
