Georgetown Middle School

Dear Future Sixth Graders,

 I wanted to take a moment to welcome you to Georgetown Middle School and the place where students “Learn Today,” so they can become “Leaders Tomorrow.”   My name is Seth Hillman, and I will be your Principal when you arrive in August of 2025.

Sixth grade is an important time in social and academic growth as you switch classes, face new challenges, and meet students from other elementary schools.  We will take these steps together working towards your success as you explore middle school and prepare for your future.  As we travel the road of this sixth grade adventure, you will be challenged to grow in many ways, but if you are willing to work hard you will love the direction that this journey will take you toward.

We have taken the first step together of your sixth grade adventure in April, when we visited your schools.  We will take many more steps as you become a part of the GMS family as we work to have your first year with us filled with adventures, learning and creating wonderful memories.

We look forward to meeting you and your families as we partner up to make your sixth grade year a success.  I hope that you are as excited as we are to begin this wonderful journey!  We can’t wait to see you in August!  Enjoy the rest of your year, do your work, and have a wonderful summer!
