When I started the project, I aimed to independently create a complete album, handling all aspects from writing and recording to production and mastering. My primary goal was to deepen my understanding of the song creation process in a recording context. But along the way, I faced some tough challenges. Writing music proved difficult, resulting in me not writing new songs, and the recording process was more demanding than anticipated. Even publishing the music was difficult because there is not a clear tutorial on how to do it. This led me to create a guide as a way to address a music-community need.
Looking back, I realize I should have set more realistic goals and planned better from the beginning. I also wish I had some help. Doing everything alone was tough, and now I see why being in a band can be great – you have people to bounce ideas off of and share the workload. Despite the difficulties, I learned a lot from this experience. I gained valuable insights into the music industry, the role of an artist, and monetization through the interviews that I did. I have a newfound respect for musicians and what they do. Moving forward, I'm still determined to keep making music. I'll focus on writing more songs and sharing them online, taking the lessons I've learned along the way.
