Pier 42:
Pier 42 is a completely brand new facility right on the East river. Along with a great soccer field there are also tennis and basketball courts. The field is right on the highway which makes it an easier drive however it is hard to get to with public transportation and without a car you are probably best off biking. The field is big enough for 11 vs 11 and its only real flaw is the fencing with a ball ending up in the river always at risk.

East River Fields:
This field opens at 6am and only closes at one am. The field has lots of good off field space with good bleachers watching the field. Along with this there is very good track and field, with water fountains, trash cans, and a bathroom. There is permits usually and often times you will find people running.

The field is very good for 11 vs 11 games and is overall a very good field. It is a little hilly in the middle, kind of hard to get too, and availability fluctuates but overall it is a good field whether you want to just kick about or play a big game.
