Downtown there are plenty of good fields with varied options. You have Pier Forty which is arguably the best field in Manhattan as well as good full sized fields in Battery Park and East river fields. But then Downtown there are also plenty of good smaller 7 vs. 7 fields such as Tannahey and Nike. Lower Manhattan has the best spread of fields with the only two soccer fields that are really in the middle of the city. Although most of the fields are still on the west and east side. The fields in lower Manhattan are accesible however the most unavailable because they are the taken up by permits more than anywhere else.
