It is importantly to support minimum wage workers and advocate for an increase in minimum wage, as it is vital for fairness and equality in society. Although the minimum wage workers do perform valuable functions that are critical for the smooth running of businesses, they are generally among the worst paid employees. Thus, it is not a matter of economic necessity to fight for their rights and for fair compensation: it is a matter of social justice.
In addition to fair minimum wage, advocating for social justice also requires looking into structural issues that underpin ongoing inequality. More specifically, this involves fighting discrimination in hiring, enforcing diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and addressing systemic issues with the lack of opportunities for social mobility among disadvantaged groups. By ensuring fair pay and addressing these issues, we contribute to a socially just world where everyone regardless of background has opportunities to succeed.

Higher wages may also decrease employee turnover and increase productivity so it can help profit businesses. Furthermore, preferring social justice to minimum wage refers to the interconnectedness of all instances of inequality .
Low-wage workers are disproportionately drawn from marginalized populations who are more likely to be subjected to various forms of discrimination, including people of color, women, and immigrants. I strongly believe that fairness and treating everyone with dignity will help us create the just and inclusive nation we are all proud of.
