Murray Hill, also known by many as Curry Hill, is an area in midtown Manhattan with many South Asian businesses lining Lexington Ave between 26th and 30th street. Below are the five places that stood out to me.
At Curry in a Hurry I was served by very nice people who even offered to not charge me for my food. The menu has an extremely wide variety of South Asian food and drinks. There is even a large seating area upstairs.Â
Haandi is a Pakistani restaurant just a block away from Curry in a Hurry and the 28th street train station. There is a large variety of dishes and beverages as well as ground floor and downstairs seating.
New Foods of India is a delightful market with everything that one needs. They have a large variety of items ranging from grains to hot served food at the counter.
Saravanaa Bhavan is a South Indian eatery with too many delicious options to choose from! Saravanaa Bhavan has two dining rooms with extremely good service for a reasonable price. Saravanaa Bhavan's speciality is their variety of Dosas, a thin pancake-like bread made of rice and lentils filled with vegetables, meat, cheese or all of the above.
Little India Market is a large supermarket located on 3rd avenue. The supermarket has a wide variety of everything including an entire section dedicated to imported fruits. There is also a intruiging skin care section located in the front.
