Orchestra camp is a voluntary, weeklong activity at the end of June hosted at Greenfield Central High School. Orchestra students currently in grades 7-11 spend the week preparing six or seven pieces of music as one giant orchestra, and we have an end-of-camp concert that Friday afternoon. Throughout the week, students will have the opportunity to work in one large combined orchestra, in small groups with camp staff who are experts specializing in your child’s instrument, and doing team building activities.
We hope you will encourage your student(s) to participate in orchestra camp this summer. Camp is a great opportunity for kids to make friends with orchestra students in different grade levels (strengthening our sense of community as one big orchestra program), to be exposed to different teachers & experts on their instruments, and to grow as musicians in a fun way!
