What are we learning?

Our first math unit will be a quick dive into lines, angles, and rays before moving into place and whole numbers operations (adding and subtracting into the thousands). Our biggest focus in this unit will be expressing place value in various ways with an emphasis on understanding that each place value is ten times greater than the value to the right. This will lead us into adding with regrouping and subtracting with borrowing.
