Meet your Social Worker

I am an Oklahoma Native! I grew up in a tiny town in Northwest Oklahoma just 15 miles from the Texas border. My family relocated to Gibson City Illinois in May of 2021. We LOVE it here. GO FALCONS!!! 

I am married to Mr. V who is a special education teacher here at the middle school! 

I have a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and I have a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. I am a current Licensed Social Worker, LSW in the state of Illinois. 

I have experience working in the foster care system both as a family specialist and a home-study specialist, a hospital, and most recently as a Clinical Therapist. My main areas of concentration have been Anxiety, Grief, Depression and other mood related disorders. I love being in a school system because it allows me to be able to encompass all of my work and passions into one place. The developmental changes that occur between 6th-8th grades are incredibly fascinating and complex. I love being a part of helping students navigate those changes, their emotions, stressors, home struggles, school struggles, drama, and everything else in between!
