Building Online Relationships & Communicating with FlipGrid

Looking for a way to have students communicate that doesn’t involve paper and pencil? Kori Krill from Kenston Middle School will present on Flipgrid, a platform students can use to create video responses to questions that can used for formative or summative assessments.
With so much thought and planning going into implementing lessons during the pandemic, have we really spent time getting to know our new students? Erin George from Lakeridge Academy will present on the importance of developing teacher-student relationships and how to build these relationships during virtual learning.

Steering Learners onto a Two-Way Street

Peter Petto will demonstrate several third-party additions to your teaching practice aimed at increasing student collaboration and participation whether in person or virtually. Join him for a short demonstration and tour of ways you can use Desmos Activity Builder, awwapp, Jamboard, and more, to better navigate, control, and enjoy your classroom.
Since our Zoom account limits us to 100 participants, we are asking that you please register here. The first 100 to register will receive the Zoom link on Wednesday evening. If you do not receive a Zoom link, you can still observe the live session and submit questions but will not be able to actively participate. If you can't make the live meeting, we will be recording and posting here on the website.
