On April 7th the conference is in the Student Union at Glendale Community College from 1:30-4:15 pm and on April 11th the conference is virtual via Zoom from 12:30-4:20 pm.
The sessions are not being recorded.
FPG is Faculty Professional Growth and is now available to all faculty (residential and adjunct). To learn more about FPG, visit MCCCD Faculty Professional Growth Programs.
For Monday, April 7th there are 2.5 clock hours available and for Friday, April 11th there are 3.5 clock hours available.
On April 11th, the conference is being held via Zoom. If an attendee happens to have a lot of distracting background noise coming from their environment, that person will be muted.
If you are intending on using this conference for FPG, you can not leave early or miss a session. You do not need to attend both days; they are two different events.
If you are attending this conference for the sole purpose of learning more, please come and go as you please.
The steps needed to be completed to receive FPG are:
Sign in at the beginning of each event, and sign out at the end of each event. For October 14th you will need to sign in and out at the registration table. For October 18th you will need to put your name in the chat at the beginning of the event and at the end of the event and be present at each of the sessions.
Complete the appropriate event assessment and evaluation within 24 hours of the event.
Adjunct faculty will need to go into HCM and click on Adjunct PG Forms. The form will ask for the title, the date, some documentation of the event and comments about what you learned. This process must be completed within 30 days; additional information is available.
Residential faculty will find complete details on their requirements on the MCCCD site (select the Non-Academic Advancement FPG Application).
The CTLE will send a Verification of Attendance to the District Office confirming your participation.
Absolutely you can! You can ask your question during the presentation in the 'chat' box or verbally at the end of the session during Q & A.
The CTLE plans to continue having these conferences every spring and fall semester and we would love to have more presenters! To become one of our presenters, please complete and submit this short form.
