Hello, everyone! My name is Tricia Williams Dowdy and I am the Lead Instructional Technology Resource Teacher for Gloucester County Public Schools. I will reach 5 years as the ITRT at Gloucester High School in February and this is my 22nd year of teaching.
I grew up in Gloucester County and attended Gloucester County Public Schools. Upon graduating from the school I currently teach, I pursued art education at Longwood College. I graduated in 2000 with a BFA in Art Education with a mini-concentration in Crafts. In 2010, I obtained a Masters of Science in Instructional Media from Wilkes University through Discovery Education.
Before I came to GCPS, I worked for Middlesex County Public Schools teaching art for grades PK-12. Once at GHS, I taught Art focusing on Art Foundations, Photography, Design, and Yearbook. While art is a love, my passion lies in technology.
I am a mom to a recent GHS graduate and a retired LEO wife. I am also a fur mom to the most spunky Boston Terriers, Dottie Mae & Brewer Blue. When not working with technology, I love to craft, visit the mountains of Virginia, and root for the Yankees & Nationals.
