Attendance:
You are expected to attend 100% of the sessions. Registers are taken at the start of each session.
College Hours (please see your timetable for your schedule)
Arrive 10 minutes before the start of each session.
Attend every session outlined on the timetable.
Absence procedure:
If your attendance drops below 90% then you will be asked to attend a Formal Review Meeting with the Course / Pastoral Leader.
Appointments:
It is expected where possible that you arrange Doctor, Dentist appointments etc. outside of College hours. However, if this is not possible, and it is necessary for you to leave College for an appointment, then you must inform your Tutor, stating where you are going and what time you expect to return.

Acceptable reasons for absence:
1 Unavoidable medical appointments
2 Sickness covered by a signed absence form for up to 4 days absence
3 Sickness covered by a doctor’s certificate for 5 days or more
4 Court or probation appointment
5 Attendance at a funeral or bereavement
Holidays:
Holidays must NOT be booked during term time.
Punctuality:
We expect students to be on time for all their lessons.
Lateness will be monitored, and if a pattern is emerging of poor punctuality then learners will be given a formal warning, and asked to attend a Formal Review Meeting with the Course / Pastoral Leader.
Part-time work:
You are expected to undertake coursework outside college.
We encourage you to balance any part-time work with the time-consuming nature of the subject, and also to leave time for you!
