Top 10 list for the final weeks of remote learning

  1. Sign eachother's yearbook using a Google Slide Deck! Here's an example.

2. Play "Who's Who" with your class. Have students submit a baby photo privately or 3 facts that not a lot of classmates know. Play the game during a Google Meet.

3. Create Digital Awards Certificates for your students. Here is a site that has templates you can download. For older grades, students could design and submit creative awards certificates.

4. Have students play tic tac toe and other partner games in these Google Slides. Set up a schedule of partners to meet up on a slide to play!

5. Have students write a letter to their future self for the next school year. Collect and then send them electronically to your students in the fall after school has started.

6. Send out Flat Teacher BitMojis. Students could post on Flipgrid some of the their summer adventures with their teacher. Click here for a free letter and directions template to use.

7. Invite your students to a red carpet end of the year Google Meet to have a fancy celebration. Here is an example of an Evite you could send to your students.

8. Host a live talent show on Google Meet or in Flipgrid. See Cook's 1st grade success here with a Flipgrid Talent Show. Students can show a talent OR teach the class a skill.

9. Create a class book. For directions on how to use this online collaborative book, click here.

10. Host a Grade Level Flipgrid Masked Singer/Masked Reader. Students (and even staff!) submit a Flipgrid video of themselves singing or reading with their face covered with an emoji or actual mask. They change their name on the video submission too. The class could use a Google Form to guess who is who or reveal in a Google Meet. Here's an example with teachers in NY doing this over the course of several weeks.
