Find Your Induction Program Path
As a teacher with 1-5 years of experience,
you’ll participate in this program to
develop your practice. You’ll receive
personalized one-on-one mentoring and
support to navigate your career, fostering
your growth as a reflective, anti-racist
practitioner.
As a mentor, you’ll be paired with a
beginning teacher to provide weekly one-
on-one guidance and support throughout
the program. You’ll engage in a
collaborative decision-making culture and
contribute to shaping a unified vision of
anti-racist teaching.
As a partner school, you will collaborate
with GPS to provide the induction program
for your teachers, covering the program
costs. You will gain supported and
retained beginning teachers who are
committed to an anti-racist approach and
continuous growth.
The Gateway Induction Program offers personalized, one-on-one mentoring focused on anti-racist teaching and teacher identity. Our small size allows for tailored support and meaningful relationships between mentors and teachers.
Teacher candidates follow a clear, three-milestone structure and can earn college credit through our partnership with the University of the Pacific. This program helps teachers grow into reflective, equity-driven educators ready to thrive.
" I think I was very well matched with my mentor! I felt very supported through my induction, especially because the New School coaching systems match so well onto the Gateway ones. My mentor was always available and always had helpful ideas for me to try out! I appreciated the flexibility in coaching times (being able to pop in when I needed help and during scheduled meetings). This made induction not feel like an extra lift,
thank you!"
