North East Digital Skills Network

Working together to enable the best opportunities for our learners through innovative and supportive technology

The North East Digital Skills Network is a collaborative project available to all education providers within the North East of England. The aim is to explore and share innovative use of education technology (edtech) in teaching, learning and assessment.

The advantages of adopting edtech into your teaching, learning and assessment include:

  • Allowing learners who otherwise may not be able to attend sessions to take part and interact with peers (for example, learners with disabilities preventing them from accessing the classroom; or learners who may not be able to attend due to work or home commitments).

  • Increasing the number of learners engaged on a course to exceed limited classroom space requirements.

  • Allowing learners to contribute to session content outside of 'classroom time' - keeping learners engaged with extra curricular or flipped learning content.

  • Allowing for instant feedback and resubmission of assessment products.

  • Increasing fun within the classroom!
