Mission of the project
A unique project between two well-established regional FE providers. Gateshead Council Learningskills and Gateshead College are collaborating to establish a regional Digital Skills network in order to support the professional development of teaching and learning professionals. We aim to respond to the changing FE environment and provide the best learning opportunities for learners within the North East.
We shall do this by:
Development
Improve confidence in use of digital pedagogies for all teachers, assessors and learning support.
Collaboration
Increase communication and collaboration between providers via a dedicated Regional Digital Skills Network.
Support
Set up a dedicated online forum for all participants to share best practice and support.
Learning
Hold a Digital Marketplace event with Digital Champions promoting new ways of teaching and learning; open to all.
