Our AIG students recently put their problem-solving skills to the test with BreakoutEDU boxesâan exciting, hands-on challenge that combines critical thinking, teamwork, and perseverance!
Students worked collaboratively to solve a series of puzzles and clues in order to unlock each box. Every lock required a different strategy, pushing students to think deeply and use evidence from the clues provided.Â
How the BreakoutEDU boxes work:
Students are given a set of directions and a series of clues. Each clue leads to a code or answer that opens a specific lock (number, shape, or directional lock). Teams must:
Read and analyze each clue carefully.
Decide which lock the clue connects to.
Work together to test their reasoning.
Continue solving until all locks are opened and the box is âbroken outâ successfully.
This activity encourages students to think outside the box, learn from mistakes, and support one another through productive struggle.Â
