To find a book, you will use Destiny, the library's catalog, (you can use the link here or the quick links on the home page).
The easiest way to search for a book is to type what you are looking for in "Search," but you might get a lot of results that are not what you're looking for. To do a more specific search, you can click "Search Options."
If you are looking for a certain subject or genre of book, try the "Subject" search.
If you like a particular author, try "Author."
If you already know the title or part of the title of the book you want, try "Title."
Once you find a book that you like, look for the call number, a special code on the spine of the book that tells us what order it goes in on the shelf.
The call numbers for Fiction books all start with "F" for "fiction," then the first three letters of the author's last name.
The call numbers for Nonfiction books have numbers that match certain topics.
