Hello! 

I am Ms. Deans, the librarian at W. C. Friday Middle School. I used to teach 8th grade English language arts here at WCF, but I have also taught all grades of high school English. I am also the evening reference librarian at Johnson & Wales University.

A little bit of information about me: I live in Denver, NC, with my husband Ian, my daughter Ivy, and our black boxer-lab named Caspian. My hobbies include reading (of course), writing, knitting, crocheting, cooking, hiking, gardening, and jewelry-making. My favorite book genres are horror, science-fiction, mystery, and fantasy, and my favorite young adult book series is the Ship Breaker series by Paolo Bacigalupi.

More fun facts about me: I love reading about wildlife, fossils, and other biology-related topics; I love rock and metal music, especially epic/symphonic metal; and I play Dungeons & Dragons and Magic the Gathering.
