Art is a highly competitive field. Competitions are a great way to motivate students to challenge themselves and push their artwork to the next level.

Mount Holly 2018 Fire Hydrant Design Contest Deadline: May 31, 2018
Mount Holly Utilities Department is hosting a student centered contest, in which students redesign the surface of a fire hydrant. Entry forms are available at the Municipal Complex (Water Department waiting area). Drop off your entry forms at the Water Department window. The winner will be announced on June 1, 2018.

PENC (Professional Educators of North Carolina), a professional association that serves as the voice for educators in policy-making, a forum for developing professional relationships, and an advocacy group for improving the learning environment for every educator and student, is currently accepting electronic entries for its 9th annual Young Artists Competition. The goal of this project is to highlight the hard work of North Carolina’s teachers and their students.
