Seniors should complete either a senior brag sheet or resume to provide to those who are writing a letter of recommendation on their behalf. Be sure to save what you have completed to give to others for future college applications or scholarships.

If you need a letter of recommendation for a student opportunity, scholarship, or college application, email or talk with your prospective recommender (usually your counselor, teacher, coach, community leader, etc) 14 days in advance of the due date.

Ask the prospective recommender if he or she will write a letter for you and if the answer is yes:

• Share information about the opportunity and any required forms.
• Share your senior brag sheet or resume.
• Share how the letter is to be submitted and if electronically, share the link/website.
