Gaston Hope in Christ Tutoring Program
Gaston Hope in Christ provide free after-school tutoring from dismissal of school until 5:30 Tuesdays-Thursday when there's a full day at school. We are looking for volunteers who spend time getting to know students while helping them with their homework and sharing life through games and snacks and character building. We ask our tutors to spend about 2 hours a day helping 3-8th graders one on one or in small groups with homework, reading and math. Tutors can just come when they leave school. We finish by 5:30, but tutors can leave earlier if necessary. We can use daily, weekly or monthly schedules for our tutors. We provide training and support, and understand projects, finals & event schedules. The online volunteer application can be accessed by clicking here.
