Every year, Junior Library Guild's expert editors curate selections across 80+ reading levels and genres. By subscribing to specific categories, the school receives new books each month, tailored to the interests and needs of young adult readers.
The editorial team, known for selecting award-winning titles, acts as an extension of the library team, helping to manage the often overwhelming task of book selection. Impressively, nearly 95% of JLG Gold Standard Selections receive starred reviews or industry accolades.
This program has been funded in a number of ways in the past but this year, we need some extra help. We generally have 12 book subscriptions that bring us 12 new books each month. There is nothing like seeing the excitement of the face of our students when new books arrive - it's a little like a birthday surprise!
