Happy Read-A-Thon week!!!!! We are reading like crazy in class. Please make sure your child fills out their minutes log each night. Tomorrow is WACKY WEDNESDAY. Students can wear their crazy socks and sport their craziest hairstyle. On Thursday students may dress up as their favorite book character. All money for the Read-A-Thon needs to be turned in no later than tomorrow (Wednesday). Thanks so much for all of your support. :)
Here's what we have going on in class:
- Math- We are adding and subtracting mixed numbers. Students should be able to regroup when subtracting mixed numbers with unlike denominators.
- Reading- Students are enjoying Shades of Gray and learning the history that goes with it. This week our focus is learning to come up with different theories about characters. This helps with character traits and making inferences. Continue to have your child read each night.
- Science- I moved our ecosystems test to this Friday, March 6. Our next science unit will be cells and body systems.
- Word Study- Students will have a test on Friday, March 6. Here is where students can find the list for this week.
