Community Supper

Join us Monday, October 13, 2025 in our Parish Center Hall from 4-6 p.m., for our monthly Community Supper this Columbus Day! We gather in faith and fellowship to share a delicious and hot homemade meal made possible by loving volunteers and generous donors. Bring a friend or come to make friends! At-will donations are appreciated. Complimentary bus service is available from Liberty Square, The Meadows, Underwood South and The Glades. Respect For All Life

Our Respect for all Life Mission Team is hosting A Day of Adoration, Wednesday, Oct. 15, from 8 a.m.-8 p.m., at the Church in Oakland. This day of Adoration includes prayers for the protection of the unborn. Come as you are and join us as we adore our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament for the protection of the unborn and an end to abortions. Mass with Father Bill Keown will be celebrated at noon, and we will pray the Rosary for Life at 10 a.m. (Joyful Mysteries), 3 p.m. (Sorrowful Mysteries), and 7:30 p.m. (Glorious Mysteries)

Gifts for Life: The Respect for All Life Team is collecting items for the babies and mothers of The James Isaac House. If you would like to help with this ongoing outreach, you’ll find a rack next to the basement door inside the Oakland church to place items such as diapers, wipes, lotions, infant clothing, and even gifts for the new moms, when the church is open. Our team members will gather and deliver items to the James Isaac House on a regular basis. We will soon arrange for a drop-off location at the Lake Center, as well. Please watch for updates and thank you for supporting life in such a loving way.

Annual Shrimp and Bull Roast - Saturday, November 8, 2025

Save the date and join us for our 2025 Shrimp & Bull Roast. Tickets are now available! Get your tickets after our weekend Mass or at the parish office (beginning Tuesday, Oct. 15), Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. 

Our Ladies Auxiliary will be collecting gifts for Dennett Road Nursing Home residents.

“Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible”

October 7- May 5; First Tuesdays Only from 6-7:30 p.m., at the Parish Center. All are invited to join us for a free video and discussion series of “Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible” by Jeff Cavins. This series helps us get the big picture of the Bible by showing how its fourteen narrative books tell the complete story from Adam and Eve to Christ and the Church. Nancy Ensor will lead us through our discussions with a 30 minute video at each session. No book or homework required. Free snacks! Sponsored by our Evangelization Mission Team. Hospitality and Safety Mission Team is Seeking New Members 

Our parish Hospitality and Safety Mission Team is seeking new members to fill a few critical responsibilities. The most pressing positions would ideally be filled by those with medical experience. Specifically, we need folks with current CPR/AED certifications and those who can help administer our parish’s AED program. We would like to have one or two trained medical personnel at each of our Masses, so please prayerfully consider if this could be an opportunity for you to serve our parish. 2025 Children's Liturgy of the Word ~ 9 a.m. Sunday Masses

Children's Liturgy of the Word is now available during our Sunday Masses in Oakland! Designed for children 4-7 years old, but all are welcome! During our weekly 9 a.m. Sunday Mass, children will gather for children’s liturgy, lessons, and activities. Kids will return to their families in time for the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

St. Peter the Apostle Prayer League

Sponsored by the Evangelization Mission Team, our prayer league is one of many opportunities to deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ and experience His peace and joy by living a life of service in God's love. Our prayer league page is available here and open to everyone!  Join us and grow closer to our Lord through prayer and spiritual reflections! There are no costs, meetings or specific time requirements involved. We only ask that you take a few minutes of quiet time to pray our petitions and for those who have asked for prayers.
