Besides a larger build volume, the Sketch Large printers are ~50% faster than the Sketch Printers.
Build Area Max Dimensions:
Sketch - 5.9in x 5.9in x 5.9in
Sketch Large - 8.66in x 7.87in x 9.84in
Using a Sketch Large for first-round prototyping is the most efficient way to reach your end goal of a successful design.
Once you have gently removed the build plate from the printer, you can flex it left to right and front to back to help release the raft from the build plate.
The raft is a disposable piece of a 3D print.
Its purpose is to firmly adhere the print to the build plate.
The raft is printed using a different infill and print pattern than the model.
How To:
With the Part placed on a flat surface, begin gently prying around the ENTIRE base of the part.
You should hear the part begin to separate.
Try pulling by hand. Stop if the part does not release and repeat the process.
The transparent panel on the side is held on by magnets. Remove it and place it on top of the print.
Remove the small panel shown to the right and place it on top of the printer.
Use the Material menu from the touch screen to Load or Unload the filament.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
The life of the extruder is measured in hours of use.
Factor like temperature, duration, and unstopped print failures can cause the life of the extruder to be reduced.
A Sketch extruder is rated for approximately 800 hours.
