The Garland ISD school board has approved standardized dress for all Webb Middle School students. Standardized dress is made up of clothing that meets a particular description but is not a specific brand of clothing. The dress and grooming codes outlined below are not optional. Students will be given disciplinary consequences if they do not follow the dress and grooming codes. Please take the dress code with you when shopping for school clothing. Stores advertising school uniforms or standardized dress may not meet our dress code requirements.
Solid red, white, or navy
traditional polo-style knit shirts with a collar and a maximum of 4 buttons.
A solid white, red, or navy undershirt may be worn underneath a polo.
Black, navy, or khaki traditional style with a finished hem.
Jogger-style khakis will be allowed.
No cargo pants (any pockets on the legs) or leggings are permitted.
No leggings, fishnet hose, or tights may be worn on their own.
Solid sweatshirts, sweaters, jackets, and hoodies are permitted and must meet the guidelines outlined in the student code of conduct.
No inappropriate language, images, or paraphernalia designs are allowed.
A polo shirt MUST be worn underneath.
Students are not allowed to wear hoods in the building or in classes.
Black, navy, or khaki loose-fitting traditional style.
Two inches above the knee or longer with a finished hem.
Skirts may only be khaki or navy.
Red, black, or blue leggings may be worn under a skirt only. Leggings may not have holes or rips.
Shoes:
Tennis shoes, loafers, dress shoes, or other closed shoes.
No sandals, flip flops, house shoes, cleats, slides or crocs.
Belts:
Traditional style with a buckle for pants/shorts/skirts with belt loops are preferred but not required.
Jewelry:
No jewelry that causes a distraction or that could be dangerous to the student or other individuals (spiked, studded, choker, chain links, etc.)
Hats and head coverings:
Hats, caps, bandanas, sweat bands, hoods, visors, bonnets, wave caps, durags, or other non-religious head coverings should not be worn.
Hair, including facial hair, must be cleaned, groomed, and by the nature of the style does not intend to create a distraction.
Hair must be kept out of the eyes and must not be a distraction.
Spirit dress days will be on special days as designated by the administration.
Traditional jeans blue or black. No designs, holes, rips, or tears.
School spirit shirt only. No polo shirts with jeans.
