Beginner Showcase Rehearsal and Performance
All Beginning Band students will perform at the Beginner Showcase for friends and families on October 8 at 6:00pm.
Uniform for the performance is band shirt and SCHOOL APPROPRIATE blue jean pants/shorts or navy pants/shorts.
This is a performance grade and will require a make-up test for any absences from the event. All performance make-up tests consist of playing the music from the event for the class (the “audience”) and graded by the band directors.
October 8
Honor Band @ Hispanic Heritage Celebration
All Honor Band (2nd period) musicians will perform at the Hispanic Heritage Celebration (following the Beginner Showcase) on October 8 at 6:30pm
Uniform for the performance is band shirt and SCHOOL APPROPRIATE blue jean pants/shorts or blue school uniform pants/shorts.
This is a performance grade and will require a make-up test for any absences from the event. All performance make-up tests consist of playing the music from the event for the class (the “audience”) and graded by the band directors.
October 20
Webb Band @ MS Football Game
All Honor (2nd period) and Symphonic (3rd period) band students will attend the “Rivalry Week” middle school football game against Sellers MS. Please see the handour for more detailed information.
*** uniform is band shirt and blue jeans/shorts/skirt or school blue pants/shorts/skirt ***
*** you can wear the uniform to school since we are leaving right after! ***
If you are participating with another organization (football, cheer, etc.) you should wear the uniform for that organization. When you are done cheering/playing/etc. please join the band and play for the other part of the event.
During the game:
Stay in your assigned seat for the duration of the game.
Raise your hand if you need to use the restroom.
Only water is allowed during the event.
No food or drinks (other than water!) are allowed during the event (we just ate lots of pizza, you’ll be ok!)
Always be ready to play and play your best!
