1st Grade

Learning targets are the classroom teacher’s way to convey to students the destination for the lesson in student friendly language—what to learn, how deeply to learn it, and exactly how to demonstrate their new learning. The intention for the lesson is one of the most important things students should know to prevent mystery learning.

I can say the rhythm by saying the words to a song in time with the beat.

Below you will find the lyric sheets for the songs along with two tracks for each song. The top track is the song with voices to help the 1st grader sing the correct pitches. The second track is with no voices to practice singing by themselves. The lyric sheets are presented to follow along, like reading fluency, so the 1st grader can get every word!
