Season 2 Sign Up Opens - 27 October 2025, 1:00PM to 3 November 2025, 1:00PM
Swimming is an extremely popular sport within the Singapore international community and consequently a major strength at UWCSEA East for our students. We have over 350 swimmers ranging from students just beginning their swimming journey in K1 all the way to students enjoying competitions in Grade 12. We have a fantastic Aquatics Centre with a 10 lane 50m swimming pool. Our Aquatics team is lead by Coach Andrew Nicholls and his team of Coach Jen, Coach Laia, Coach Ollie and Coach Elon.
With a proud tradition in competition within both the SEASAC and ACSIS conferences the aquatics program aims to cater for all students. We offer instruction for all abilities and the Coaching team is focussed on helping each student achieve success- from confident participation in outdoor education experiences all the way to success in the competition arena.
G5 and G6 student sign-ups will be completed using parent or student login details.
G7–G12 students will sign up themselves using their student login details.
Competitive Squads
For those students who choose swimming as their main sport our competitive squads start with JAG. Students in this pathway are provided with many opportunities to race, ranging from internal competitions to ACSIS and SEASAC championships along with Singapore Swimming competitions. Commitment to training attendance and racing are are critical part of this pathway
Swim for Speed and Fitness
For students who choose swimming as an important part of their wellbeing and health and enjoy the fitness that regular swimming can bring without commitment to competition. These groups are invited to competitive opportunities throughout the year but racing is not the main reason they continue to swim.
Development
Starting with Black Squad our development program aims to give students the skills and strength to move through the water efficiently across all four competitive strokes along with the relevant skills in diving and turns. Swimming is a skill based sport and these skills do take time to develop- through White, Green and Junior skills, intensity and frequency all increase in a progressive manner. Competitive opportunities are offered to all of our development groups both internally and in external inter school competitions.
Learn how to swim
The beginning of the journey! Our team of professional coaches implement a level based program encompassing basic water confidence, learning to float and move through the water. We teach all four strokes in a progressive manner with a concurrent focus on water safety and enjoyment. For K1-G1 these lessons form part of the after school activities program
