Meet Sandra, our dedicated Community Kitchen Technician. With decades of experience in office management and a passionate home baker, Sandra brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our kitchen. She oversees the day-to-day operations of our community kitchen, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards of hygiene and quality. Whether it's coordinating with volunteers, sourcing fresh ingredients, or developing new recipes, Sandra is always striving to make our kitchen a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone in the community. We are incredibly fortunate to have her as part of our Activities team.

The “Global Cooking” activity is a unique opportunity for junior school students to learn about different cultures and cuisines from around the world. Led by experienced external provider staff, students will participate in a hands-on cooking workshop where they will prepare and taste a variety of traditional dishes. Through this activity, students will not only learn basic cooking skills, but also gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for the diversity of people and food cultures. The activity will be a fun and engaging way for students to broaden their horizons and become global citizens.

Middle School Masterchef is an exciting activity for students that encourages creativity, teamwork, and healthy eating habits. Taught by our experienced school teachers, the activity is designed to help students explore their passion for cooking while developing important skills such as time management, communication, and problem-solving. Throughout the program, students will learn how to prepare a variety of delicious and nutritious meals using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. There is no competition involved, which allows students to focus on learning and having fun in a supportive environment. By the end of the program, students will have gained the confidence and skills they need to become budding chefs and create their own unique recipes at home.
Welcome to our Junior School Baking Club! This after-school activity is perfect for young aspiring bakers who love to experiment with different ingredients and create delicious treats. Led by our experienced school teacher, this programme is designed to introduce students to the art of baking, from measuring ingredients to decorating their final creations. Through hands-on experience, students will learn about various baking techniques and the science behind the ingredients they use. Our club is all about learning and having fun, with no competition involved. By the end of the programme, students will have developed new skills, gained confidence in the kitchen, and most importantly, have a great time creating and sharing their baked goods with their fellow club members.
