It is a way to build community across the High School as we communicate and share our experiences and thinking. It is a way to showcase to a broader audience your ideas, your interests - who you are as a student!
Our portfolios are developed under a paid subscription to Wordpress. The version for schools is Campuspress.
In my portfolio, I can explore what I love! There's a certain motivation that accompanies the thought that 'this will be published', and it inspires me to take on new research projects where I can publish my findings. I think it's a great outlet for curiosity to enhance creativity.
What I like about having a student portfolio is that it is my own digital space where I can share all of my memories and thoughts during the school year or even in the pandemic (COVID-19), without being restricted. I can be creative with how I design and categorise my portfolio, and everyone can easily access it since it is published online.
Therefore, I can share my thoughts and experiences with everyone without any restrictions, no matter where we are. Additionally, I enjoy using it at school, since I can show my work that I have been working on for my school year so that I can remind what I have done, and proudly share my academic journey with everyone including my peers, teachers, and parents.
I like how the portfolio is something I can always work on, and is not necessarily only related to school, which allows me to write a bit about other activities I participate in . I have also enjoyed using my portfolio as a way to further extend what I learn in class. I also like getting comments from my teachers on these posts, as it helps me improve my understanding of the subject, and shows my teachers what I may not have been able to say in class. I also enjoy writing so it is a nice space for me to improve!
I really enjoy using my portfolio as it allows me to have a collection of some of my accomplishments throughout the year. I love being able to see the progress I have made in my activities and having a record of my learning and experiences in these activities.

The goal is to create a relevant portfolio that connects you to other people in the community. In other words, you need readers to engage in conversations. It is also a reflective space to be inspired and to generate new provocations. To submit work, you have the online learning platform (OLP) and other mediums.
