The Senior Mathematical Challenge is a 90 minute MCQ of 25 Questions. Certificates are awarded in the ratio of 1:2:3 for Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively to the top 40% scorers. Around 1000 top scorers are invited to write in the British Mathematical Olympiad Round 1

The Intermediate Mathematical Challenge is a 60 minute MCQ of 25 Questions. Certificates are awarded in the ratio of 1:2:3 for Gold, Silver and Bronze respectively to the top 40% scorers. Around 1500 top scorers are invited to write in the Cayley (Grade 8), Hamilton (Grade 9), or Maclaurin (Grade 10) Olympiad.

The Cayley Olympiad is a followup round for the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge. Unlike IMC, it is a 2-hour competition consisting of six problems requiring full written solutions. Medals are awarded to the top 100 scorers and Book prizes are awarded to the top 50 scorers.
The Hamilton Olympiad is a followup round for the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge. Unlike IMC, it is a 2-hour competition consisting of six problems requiring full written solutions. Medals are awarded to the top 100 scorers and Book Prizes are awarded to the top 50 students.
The Maclaurin Olympiad is a followup round for the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge. Unlike IMC, it is a 2-hour competition consisting of six problems requiring full written solutions. Medals are awarded to the top 100 scorers and Book Prizes are awarded to the top 50 students.
The British Mathematical Olympiad Round 1 is a followup to the Senior Mathematical Challenge. Unlike SMC, it is a 3.5-hour competition consisting of six problems requiring full written solutions. Certificates of Distinction are awarded to the top 25% and Certificate of Merit to the next 45%. Around 100 top-scorers are eligible for the British Mathematical Olympiad Round 2
The BMO2, however, consists of 4 questions rather than 6, yet also requiring 3.5 hours to complete. It is an entry point to the training and selection programme of the UK for international competitions (only available to citizens of the UK).
