The College recognises and welcomes the support parents/carers give. For students under 19 years old, when joining your study programme the College will keep your parents or carers informed of your progress and needs.
Each course will arrange a minimum of 3 parents/carers events each academic year where your progress will be discussed. We will issue 2 reports on progress during the year to parents/carers. We will also write to and telephone your parents/carer if we have concerns about your progress or behaviour such as failing to attend classes or failing to hand in work.
We will also write to your parents/carers following Assessment Boards to inform them of your results and progress.
For parents/carers who would like to view their son/daughter's progress online access to Proportal is given. All parents/carers will be written to providing details of how ProPortal can be accessed.
It is important that the college has the up to date contact details for your parent/carer - both e-mail and telephone number.
