Students at Suffolk New College are required to undertake work experience as part of their course. This enables you to get an idea of what is expected in a workplace and also an idea of what it would be like to work in your chosen industry.
Some employers are able to provide ‘virtual’ or online work experience for students due to the current situation with COVID-19.
We have a team of Work Placement Officers who will be able to help you find a placement if you are struggling so please ask you Progress Tutor to point you in their direction!
Professional Development (PD) sessions are run by Progress Tutors each week for one hour.
Some of these sessions will cover various aspects of job searching and career development.
As well as PD sessions your Progress Tutor will be able to offer some careers advice as part your reviews.
As you are starting on your journey at Suffolk New College we thought it would be fun for you to complete a short task that helps you identify your strengths and which celebrities share your personality type.
It doesn’t take long and the best thing is to go with your first answer!
