量子計算是使用諸如疊加和纏結之類的量子現象來執行計算。執行量子計算的計算機稱為量子計算機。量子計算機被認為能夠比傳統計算機快得多地解決某些計算問題，例如整數分解。量子計算的研究是量子資訊科學的一個子領域。我們專注在利用量子計算的觀念求解最佳化問題與大數據資訊處理。

Quantum computing is the use of quantum phenomena such as superposition and entanglement to perform computation.  Computers that perform quantum computations are known as quantum computers. Quantum computers are believed to be able to solve certain computational problems, such as integer factorization, substantially faster than classical computers. The study of quantum computing is a subfield of quantum information science. We are working on putting a Quantum computing approach into optimization problems and Big Data information processing. 

近幾年來，大數據的研究吸引了不少研究學者專家的注目。大數據預測分析指的是資料量大於一個單一主機、非結構化去存在行-列的資料庫表格之中，或是連續不斷的餵入一個靜態的資料倉儲之中。我們將研究焦點放在大數據預測分析在工業工程與工業管理的應用問題之中。

In recent years, Big data Predictive Analytics attract many researchers's attention.  Big data refers to data that is too big to fit on a single server, too unstructured to fit into a row-and-column database, or too continuously flowing to fit into a static data warehouse. We focus on the research about the applications in Industrial Engineering and Industrial Management.

在大都會地區的道路與高速公路交通日趨擁塞，結果使得路徑規劃與行車時間預測便成一個主要的研究領域，在智慧型運輸系統(ITS)及先進旅行資訊系統(ATIS)中扮演一個非常重要的角色，同時研究以減少二氧化碳排放的永續物流管理，在氣候變遷影響之下，成為聯合國永續發展的重要目標。

Road traffic and highways are increasingly congested in metropolitan areas, especially major cities. Consequently, vehicle routing and travel time forecasting on road traffic and highways has become an active research field, playing an important role in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS). At the same time, sustainable logistics management is focused on reducing CO2 emissions, which has become important research for climate change set by the UN's SDGs.

如同其他高科技工業，傳統產業（造紙工業）也受到全球市場化的影響，需要資訊科技和管理技術的協助。在現今激烈的競爭環境之中，將先進的預測技術整合到供應鍊之中，可以幫助傳統產業（造紙工業）在競爭者之中佔有一席之地。
