2017-2018 Middle School Supply List

Many of you are already asking about the supply list for the upcoming year. Ms. Pishna (your Science and Social Studies teacher), Ms. Greenier (your math teacher) and I have put our heads together and created that list. The PDF is below. You can view it here, and download and print it, as well. Remember to reuse as many supplies from last year as possible (i.e flash drive, ruler, scissors, pencil pouch, eraser, etc.) to cut down on expense and to cut down on items eventually ending up in the landfill =)

Happy Summer!!

Many thanks to my current students for a wonderful year! Now we get a well-deserved break. In between video games, music.ly videos, YouTube, and family vacations, make time to READ! Remember, reading over the summer...

... "helps students maintain or even improve their reading levels for when they return to school in the fall. Reading six minutes a day can reduce stress, ease muscle tension and alter your state of mind" (jeffcolibrary.org)
... "helps instill a love of reading for recreation. Studies show that kids who read for fun often out-perform kids who don't in school" (madisonpubliclibrary.org)

I'm including a link to middle school reading lists. I'm guessing that there are suggestions that fall on both ends of the appropriateness spectrum, so make sure the book you choose is parent/guardian approved ;)
