April News
Mrs. Ristow, Ms. Morzewski, & Ms. Miland

We have had an eventful month of March.  It is hard to believe that we are starting the 4th quarter! Students have continued to work on using text evidence to support their thinking. They wrote opinion essays on why people should volunteer, and performed a reader’s theater. Please keep reading each night with your child to support their continued growth.

We are in the beginning stages of our culture fair project for Social Studies and ELA. Students will be researching a country and creating a presentation to share their research. We will be able to make the recipes from their countries and invite you to school to taste them all. Be watching for more information for you to come in and partake in the celebration of learning!

In science this month, students will learn about forces and motion. They will get to do a variety of experiments to explore different forces.

In math, we are currently in Unit 5 which is working with fractions. We will be started Unit 6 which is all about measurement. There are math fact practice games in Google Classroom that your child has used during class and they can use at home that will help them continue to build multiplication skills. They have made so much progress this year with learning their facts, but it’s still important to keep practicing so they don’t forget them.

Thank you for your support! Happy Spring!
