Medical Terminology focuses on the basic anatomy and physiology of each body system along with the medical terms associated with those systems. In addition to A&P, students learn the following: operative, diagnostic, therapeutic, symptomatic and surgical terminology, including both terms that are not derived from word parts along with those medical terms that are built from word parts which include prefixes, word roots, suffixes and combining vowels. Word parts and their meanings are also memorized, along with medical terms not built from word parts.
