實驗室簡介

雷射動態實驗室成立於2004年,現址位於國立清華大學資電館108室。本實驗室研究內容除包含光電、物理、基礎科學等具有學術研究價值之研究外,亦積極延伸並拓展至相關之創新應用上。

本研究群利用實驗及數值模擬並行之方式,研究半導體雷射的非線性動態及其物理特性,並深入探討半導體雷射遭受光注射 (optical injection)、光回饋 (optical feedback)、及光電回饋 (optoelectronic feedback) 時之行為和現象,並將其所產生之各種模態(states)應用於光達、雷達、超寬頻微波光電、保密光通訊,以及生醫光電等領域上。

放眼於未來自駕車、AR/VR、三維建模、定位、辨識等技術,自2016年起本研究群專注於研發高解析3D混沌光達系統,利用調製脈衝訊號寬頻特性,除可達到毫米等級之解析度外,並具有一般光達所欠缺的抗干擾能力。本團隊於2020年陸續獲得晶元光電精鷹杯科技競賽理論概念組第一名、創意實作組第三名、光寶科技創新獎技術創新組第二名銀賞獎、以及中技社創意獎學金等獎項肯定。

實驗室願景

本實驗室希望能在下列目標間達到動態平衡:

一、成為國內外半導體雷射動態學術領域重要之領導者

二、發展突破性之創新技術應用造福人類社會

三、培養全方位之科技人才

Lab Introduction

The laser dynamics lab was established in 2004. We specialized in nonlinear dynamics of semiconductor lasers and their novel applications. Both simulations and experiments are being developed and studied. Our research interests include 3D chaos lidar, diverse waveform generation using laser dynamics, laser-based ultra-wideband (UWB) radar, UWB microwave imaging and communications, target identifications, and penetration detections. Beyond the academic merits, these technologies are highly related and demanded by the industries.

Since 2016, our group focus on the development of the 3D Chaos Lidar System for applications of autonomous vehicles, AR/VR, 3D modelling, localization and recognition. By utilizing the unique properties of broadband chaos modulated pulses, the unprecedented chaos lidar system not only has millimeter precision in ranging but also immune to interference and jamming.
